[Mac_crypto] Mac OS X, AirPort: Connecting to Third-Party Base Stations

Any info on going the other way?  How do I translate a AirPort passphrase
into the WEP key (in hex if possible?)

My understanding is that each vendor uses a slightly different algorithm to
get from ascii to hex.  Are there any tools available to do the translation?
